Western bride customs add a cheerful mix of customs and humorous challenges to a child’s quest into marriage, from breaking dishes to sawing through logs. Family and friends gather outside the bride’s home to tear numerous enamel food to provide excellent fortune to the child’s relationship in one of the pre-wedding rituals known as Polterabend. The pair is therefore required to remove all the shards themselves, reiterating their commitment to working jointly through any challenges that may arise in the future.

A post-wedding meeting known as the la rotie in Italy is incredibly physical and lurid, but it has a strong connection to the country’s rural tradition. Additionally, it is customary for the couple to step on vodka bottles that are displayed at the venue’s “passing gates” to wish them meet croatian women prosperity and abundance.
